Few places in the world can boast both charm and functionality; van Brakelplein, in the city of Groningen the Netherlands, does just that. My recent two year stay in the locale was nothing short of fantastic.
Located in the heart of Groningen, in the neighborhood of Zeehelden, my family and I experienced both the advantages of living in a thriving city, while not losing the village-like feel we so used to. Not only was the location ideal, but the neighbors were very welcoming and extremely helpful. My only regret is not being able to stay longer.
